SAY......... NO.........
"NO" is the word assumed to strongly object something or someone. If you say "NO" , you are objecting someone, and this means that "YOU ARE MAKING YOUR ENEMIES......". Would you prefer to make enemies, to whom it would have been beneficial to make friends. Of course, wise enemies are better then fool friends (this will be discussed in next article). But why to make these wise people enemy? If they could be made friends?
"WHAT IS DIPLOMACY?" "WHO IS DIPLOMAT?"
Diplomacy is just the managerial skill, taught in high schools and universities to just to : "SAY NO WITHOUT SAYING A NO". I do not think, we need to learn this anywhere in universities. It is simply a conditional technique, what is implement, may or may not repeated and solely dependent on how you want to set up.
In many of the interviews, You might have faced with the final answer "We will contact you if our board judges you to deserve the post or we find you somewhere applicable or we will publish our result in ....newspaper on date.....". How much have you been contacted later? How much of those were yes?
Sometimes when you are demanding for your right, or demanding to increase your salary or business payments.. You must obviously have heard many kinds of excuses. Of course excuses are not the perfect answer that we get satisfied (this will be discussed later). But a good manager would be saying you "NO" without saying you a "NO" and you will be convinced for it. More then i write how often they deal, you must have been facing this type of difficulties in your day to day life. If good "MANAGERS" do so, WHY NOT WE BE A GOOD MANAGER IN OUR EVERY DAY TO DAY OPERATION? This does not implies only in the offices, it has implication everywhere, where we are conscious that we have to manage "WHAT WE SAY?" and "HOW WE DEAL?".
I think i am able to clarify you "Why should we not say No?' or "Why should we be a Diplomat?". We never know who is going to be the key for our promotion or development in near future. You never get notice how they play the role on your behalf when you make them friends or how they disable the opportunities coming towards you if you make them enemy. We just know is the result. Either We are Upgraded or Degraded.
